I’m on my 38 weeks now. But I am still reporting to work for 2 reasons: (1) because I want to maximize my maternity leave taking care of my baby and (2) going to the clinic where I am going to give birth is nearer and much easier for me coming from the office rather than traveling from home to Quezon City.

Last weekend, my first IE showed that it’s already 1-2 cm. So, the big day is might just a few days or maybe few hours from now.

Guys, your prayers for my safe delivery is very much appreciated. Love you all!

My 2012 New Year's Resolution

As I am more positive to face this year, I would like to set my 2012 New Year’s Resolution as it will give me something to look forward to and will also guide me to be more productive. Though, i know that I am good in breaking up all those promises/resolutions, I am still hopeful that I am able to achieve what I am going to set for this year.

So, without further ado let me share to you 12 of my targets/resolutions for 2012 in random order:

*observe proper diet

*read at least one (1) book a month

*blog at least once a week

*buy new digital camera

*buy external hard disk

*always give quality time for myself

*save more money for my kids future

*go to manila ocean park with my family

*be more organize and manage time properly

*be more patient with the situations and people around me

*travel at least twice a year to any places here in the Philippines

*visit our parents and in-laws in the province and spend some quality time with them

And at the end of the year, let me see how good I am in keeping and achieving my New Year’s Resolution . So wish me luck guys as I am crossing my fingers in accomplishing those listed above.

Before I officially welcome 2012, let me share to you 11 things that I learned and realized for this year 2011.

Here they are in random order:

*life is full of duties and responsibilities and it increases as you grow older

*my daughter will always be on my top priority

*being a wife and a mother is never been easy, it needs a lot of patience, sacrifices, hardwork and responsibilities

*life is always like a rollercoaster and you really can’t tell when will you be up or when will you be down

*getting pregnant the second time around is much difficult compared before

*family is always there to suppot me through thick and thin despite havingmy very own family

*you really can’t please everyone no matter hard you try

*never ever expect anything so you won’t get hurt if nothing happens

*looking & dealing with the nanny is another burden that need to face everyday

*always give time for yourself and make yourself happy

*gift no matter how small or big always makes me smile and happy

And with all those things, I can say that I am more ready to face 2012. Happy New Year everyone. Let us all welcome 2012 with all the positivity in our heart.

Another year is about to end, 3 more days to go and we will official bid goodbye to 2011 and will welcome 2012.

2011 is never been an easy year for me. Lots of trials and hardship came across my way. But afterall those hardship, I can say that there were also a lot of things happened that need to be thankful for.

I am thankful for:

*my husband that always there to understand me and support me in any decision that I made
*my daughter that made me proud to be her mom
*my only sister that always there to rescue me and always there when I needed her
*my family that never fail to support me morally and spiritually
* my friends that never forget me
*my job that I love to do despite and inspite all the stressed that it gave me
*all the gifts that I received this christmas season
*all the wishes granted
*and above all, for the little bundle of joy inside me that is soon to come out and will say hello to the world

Now, I can say that I am ready to face the coming year and welcome 2012 with all the positivity in my heart. May this coming year be more prosperous year for all of us! So goodbye 2011, hello 2012.

*So, despite me wanting to stay home and be with my little darling KA this holiday, I decided to report to work. Hoping that being alone at my workstation and that no distractions to expect today, I am going to finish at least 1/3 or ½ of my current pending workload.

Trying to get back to regular blogging again!

I must admit that after a very long absence in blogging world, it is very hard to go back to blogging once again. For the past months, my mind was pre-occupied with a lot of work and personal concerns. Although, there were many times that I attempted to write my feelings and concerns, I always ended up hitting the delete button after composing few sentences.

Anyway, I think randomness will save my day.

1. Work still keeps me busy. Everything is always on “RUSH”.
2. Despite having a hard time with this pregnancy, I was able to travel twice to Baguio City as my work required me to do so. But let go those other official travels especially in Ifugao, Mountain Province and Visayas Region for safety reasons. Sana nga lang next year meron ulit ganung opportunity para makapagtravel na ako!
3. I’m on my 7th month already. 2 more months to go and I am going to see how this little baby inside my tummy looks like.
4. My precious KA surprised me for making it on top 2 during the 1st quarter. She really made me a proud mama. Love you so much ate!
5. I’ve got hard time finding a new nanny for KA too. That made me realized na mahirap pala talaga maging working mom. And made wish na sana I can afford to be an stay-at-home-mom nalang. Pero malabong mangyari unless manalo ako sa lotto.

Oh, time flies so fast. It’s already September and I can already smell the Christmas in the air.

The past three months were very difficult for me most especially June and July where it was the peak of my “paglilihi”. In August, I started to feel better and slowly get back to normal life.

September makes a more promising month for me because for me it only means that:

 another birthday to look forward to. No grand celebration to happen but the thought of reaching this age makes me more grateful than before.

For these past few days, I was thinking of ways on how I am going to have enough money to support my family needs. I am so desperate to be a full time mom or just a stay-at-home-mom so I can supervise my daughter as she is growing so fast. Just letting her nanny take care of all her needs gave me a lot of frustration in life. Everything seems to be below my standards.

There were times that I became so hopeless. And that were also the time that gambling came into my mind. Hoping that through gambling I may find my luck and have enough money to provide all the things that we need for our living. I tried betting on lottery but luck is not yet in me. Now I am thinking of trying on an online sports betting. I know that placing a bet on sports is also risky because betting world is full of uncertainties plus the fact that I am not a sport minded person. But who knows, it may be my time to shine now and luck might be on my side now.

And I know that nowadays, there are a lot of games to choice from for an online betting like the football, basketball, baseball and other popular sports. Aside from that, there are also an online gambling guide with all those useful money tips and suggestions to help me learn the basics of gambling.

 Hey, guys its Friday once again. And I am so looking forward for the weekend. Nothing unusually to happen but I just want to stay home and sleep all day long.

 I’m still not over with my “paglilihi” yet and I’m getting tired of this feeling.

 I loss few pounds already because I really can’t eat or even drink enough water.

 KA is excited to see her little brother/sister na. Di ko lang alam kung gaano sya magseselos kapag nakita na talaga nyang lumabas.

 KA also takes care of me when I said I am not feeling well. Sometimes she just gave me water to drink even without asking her to do so, para lang daw hindi na ako mahilo. Kakatouch!

About KA’s schooling, so far, lagi pa naman syang excited to go to school and always willing to do her homework every night before we go to bed.

 With regards to my parents, as per my brother’s update eh okey naman daw sila. Unti-unti ng nakakabawi ng lakas. And I thanks God for that!

 On the other side, July 4, marked the day that I was able to go inside (for the first time) the Malacanang Palace, Manila, in Rizal Hall in particular.

 That was also the day that one of the breakaway group signed the MOA on closure agreement with the government, and I am so proud to be part of the group that work for its success.

 On the same day, I was able to see Korina Sanchez together with Mar Roxas personally because they were also in Malacanang but on a separate event.

True Confession

I got hard time putting up a new post after a very long vacation since my last post. There were times that I attempted to blog but I end up hitting the delete button. At first the very busy schedule was my main reason for not blogging. But lately, I realized that I really missed the blogosphere and that I still have enough time to blog kung gugustuhin ko nga lang.

And today as I am trying to start blogging again, I’d like to confess to you two major reasons for my absence here for such a long time.

One is that, I was deeply hurt from what happened to my parent. Both my father and my mother suffered from a stroke. It’s very painful kasi wala man lang akong magawa for them maliban sa mahirap na din silang pagsabihan o pagbawalan sa mga bagay na dapat na nilang tigilan. Though, alam naman nila that I love them both and I care for them kahit pa magkahiwalay sila.

Second, I am having difficulty with my second pregnancy. Parang ang hirap-hirao compared when I got pregnant with KA. I just hope that this baby will be as healthy as KA and of course I wish na sana eh boy na ito.

a strawberry farm visit

It was one sunny day of April when one of my dreams came true. That’s to see and visit the strawberry farm in La Trinidad, Benguet. Though we did not pick strawberries because we did not had enough time to do it, seeing strawberry plants as well as lettuce was enough. Happiness filled my heart.

Our Baguio Trip

It was during college days when I first visited Baguio City. Now, after more than a decade I was so glad that I was able to go back in Baguio City.

We stayed there for three nights and four days, yon nga lang hindi rin kami gaanong nakapag ikot because we were busy doing some works. And during night time when we were already free to roam around eh medyo pagod na at nagkakatamaran ng lumabas lalo na ako na hindi naman sanay sa mga gimmick and night out.

Our event was held at Villa La Maja Hotel. Medyo malayo sya center but the place is so quiet and the manager and the staff were very accommodating.

Lucky enough that they have a big conference room to accommodate our guests. We were expecting only 85 – 90 persons but then bigla silang dumami at umabot ng mahigit 100 persons.

And while it is very hot here in Manila, we were also very lucky to experience and enjoy the very cold weather there in Baguio City. Uhmmm… look at the fog. I love it!

Hey guys, kumusta na kayo? I miss you all. It’s been more than a month since I last visited this blog as well as your blog. My work schedule was very hectic. Everything seems to be urgent. My 8 hours official time is not enough to finish things that I need to be done for the day. So there were times that I need to render overtime even on a Saturday and even without pay just to catch up things that really need to be done. And aside from that, there are negative energies and inconsiderate people that surround me which put my patience always on test. Yon ang mas nakakasama ng loob! Anyway, I’m back and I got a lot of stories and pictures to share with you guys. For more than a month a lot of things happened. Some made me happy, some made me sad & worry, and of course, some made me angry. And just to give you a little idea on what happened, ito munang tatlo:

I already enrolled my daughter in a nursery school for June. Meron na akong studyante and I’m so excited na for her.

I went to Baguio City and Kalibo, Aklan for official business. I got lots of pictures there. Share ko sainyo later but of course hindi pwede yong may kinalaman sa work na mga pictures ha for security reason. Mga rebelde kasi kasama namin eh.

My husband got an accident last month in the province. Buti nalang hindi gaanong matindi ang pinsala nya. Aside from the hospitalization and medicine, I paid damages for the vehicle he used which is owned by his own brother. Ang nakakasama nga lang ng loob kasi kinagabihan lang matapos ang accident, my sister-in-law texted me and wanted to collect payment immediately. Eh ni hindi ko pa alam ang totoong kalagayan ng asawa ko kasi nandito naman ako sa Manila.

side trip at Magat Dam

Before going back to Manila, we decided to see the Magat Dam. Anyway, it is just a few minutes ride from where we stayed.

It was a lovely morning and a beautiful place greeted us. I’ll let the pictures below tell you what a wonderful experience I got there:

Yay, for the first time I saw how Ifugao looks like.

At first, I was afraid because it was my first time to face those people we are dealing with in Cordillera region. It was actually a new assignment assigned to my boss. And I am tasked to assist him on his new assignments.

But my fear did not last long. Along the way, as I saw and enjoyed beautiful scenes, my fear begins to disappear. It is indeed a beautiful place. Take a look at these photos:

It was very refreshing. It was also very cold there. Centralized ang air condition biro ko pa nga.

Then, the people there are very kind. Totally opposite kaysa sa inaasahan ko. They are sincere people at madali naman ding kausap.

Hopefully next time eh ibang place naman sa Cordillera ang mapuntahan ko.

I just came back from my three days official travel from Ifugao. And I so love the place. I’ll finish first my report and will sort my photos then I will share them with you.

For the meantime, allow me to join in Kayni’s birthday blog party. I am not that kind of party person but I love joining virtual parties. Hehehe. And as Kayni turns a year wiser this month, she is very generous to be giving away gifts. I love to have that rabbit omamori and that Hawaiian planner. Wish me luck!

Revisiting 2010 and a hopeful start for 2011

Before I finally close my 2010 chapter, please allow me to look back once again.

First, I’ll evaluate my 2010 new year’s resolutions, wishes and wants and tell you what happened.

♠ Go on diet and discipline myself to have a daily exercise – Sorry but I failed to do this. Eating and sleeping became my outlet whenever things went wrong rather than ranting and ranting which will just make the situation worst.

♠ Spend more quality time with the family –whenever times permit me to do so, I always stay with my family and spent quality time with them especially with my daughter. We got lots of bonding time last year.

♠ Visit my parents & siblings as well as my in-laws in the province as often as possible – Ohh…ohh…I haven’t travelled this year. I miss them so much but my schedule doesn’t permit me to visit them. Sorry folks, may this 2011 be a little bit friendlier for us than last year.

♠ Read more books – oh yeah! Of course, I was able to accomplish this one. I’ve done reading 6 books by Sidney Sheldon, 3 books by Mitch Albom, 2 books by Nicholas Sparks and 5 ebooks by Ruth Ann Nordin.

♠ Save up for the future and for KA’s schooling needs – Sorry but with all the financial trouble that I went through, saving up for her schooling needs became impossible for me. I am just lucky to have enough money to cover all our expenses. But hopefully this year, everything will be much better.

♠ Blog more often –Though I did not update my blog as often as I want, I think it is still reasonable to say that I was able to maintain my blog last year.

♠ Save more to buy car and start a business –No saving for that car that hubby and I wanted. But towards the end of the year, my sister and I were able to start the business that we planned to do.

♠ Buy a laptop –ooh…oohh again. No laptop for me yet.

♠ Enroll for a refresher course or to driving class – My time and my financial conditions does not permit me to enroll for a refresher course last year. And as to that driving class, I am no longer interested. After I witnessed the accident and saw the driver died on the spot, I decided not to pursue to enroll in any driving class.

♠ Reconnect with friends and former classmates – sad to say, I did not exert an extra effort to reconnect with them. I only contacted my former teachers and exchange some updates with them.

Next, let me share to you 5 things that hurt me and made me worried a lot but at the same time made me keep quiet just to make things easier for everyone:

♠ The transition period at work.
♠ The controversies faced by our office.
♠ The financial crisis that we went through.
♠ The dengue that hits KA.
♠ The accusation of some military men to my brother as an NPA informant.

Then, of course, if there were lots of not so good things happened, there were also good things that I should be thankful for 2010 and here are few of them:

♠ I am thankful for my good health.
♠ I am thankful for the full support that my husband gave.
♠ I am thankful for my daughter that never fails to cheer me up.
♠ I am thankful for the understanding and love that my family showed.
♠ I am thankful for lots of friends including those online friends who were there to support me morally, spiritually and sometimes financially.
♠ I am thankful for I still have my job and my boss picked me again to be his support staff.
♠ I am thankful for all the gifts that I received this year.
♠ I am thankful for all the books that I had read and for those waiting in my shelves to be read.
♠ I am thankful for all the strength and for surviving lots of challenges that I encountered.
♠ Above all, I am thankful for God that did not abandon me and never gets tired of me even if sometimes I forgot to talk to Him.

Finally, as much as I love writing my resolution, for this year, I don’t want to make a list of the things that I want to happen or accomplish. I just live my life a day at a time. And will enjoy everything that comes along my way, face all the challenges that I will encounter and above all trust God with all my heart for I know He always has a good reason for everything.

I believe and I know it in my heart that 2011 will be going to be a better year for all of us. So friends, I wish you all the best for this year. Let us always keep the positivity in ourselves alive! A prosperous 2011 to all!

* I did not wish for any age to get married. It just happened. Meganon!

Yes, finally I got a copy of an ebook of “The Time Traveler’s Wife” by Audrey Niffenegger. I really wanted to read this book but when I checked at the second hand bookstore, this is not available.

Yesterday, in my desperation to have a copy, I asked my friends in Facebook if they have an eBook. At hindi ako nagkamali, somebody granted my wish. Thank you very much Mam L. You made me happy.

…and that’s keeping me busy.

I seldom go online because of some challenges that came into my life but I don’t want to write here.

Books & eBooks became my daily companion. They served as my outlet to move on. And just for a month, I was able to read 4 Sidney Sheldon’s books - Rage of Angels, The Best Laid Plans, Nothing Last Forever & The Stars Shine Down; 1 Mitch Albom book – Have a Little Faith; 1 Nicholas Sparks book – True Believer and 5 Ruth Ann Nordin eBooks.

There are still lots of books in my drawer and eBooks in my desktop. I am just so glad because my friends lend me some of those books to me. And I just downloaded those eBooks for free.

Now, what books would you like to recommend me to read?

8 Random Things I learned from staying in the hospital

 Have presence of mind. During emergency cases, our initial reaction is to panic. But it is very much important to have presence of mind. We need to think clearly; otherwise the patient itself will worry a lot too.

 Be strong. In my case, which is my first time to accompany a patient to be admitted at the hospital, my initial reaction is that I was very nervous – 1) because I am afraid of blood and when I think of hospital the next thing that will come out of my mind is blood 2) because I don’t feel comfortable at the hospital. The scent of medicines usually makes me feel drowsy and uneasy and 3) because I do not have cash at hand that time. But I need to be strong because I know that my daughter is really looking up to me and seeing me weak will only make her feel weak too.

 Make your patient happy. It is important to keep your patient happy to make him/her forget that he/she is sick even for a while. Keeping them happy will actually help them recover more quickly.

 Be attentive. Check and ask the nurse what he/she is going to inject in your patient. In fairness to the hospital where KA was confined, the nurses there always made sure that the watcher is aware of the things that they are doing to the patient. They even woke up those watchers when they fall asleep before injecting anything to the patient.

 Always ask questions for clarification. If there’s something that bothers you or your patient or if the hospital staff doesn’t explain to you what’s happening and what will likely to happen next, then ask them questions for you to get clarified. Don’t be afraid and feel shy because in the end they will charge you some professional fee for the doctor and even for those nurses attending to your patient.

 Demand for what is due to you. From my own experience, nurses don’t bother to give me a copy of all the laboratory test results made to my daughter. They just informed me that the platelets count is still low and on the following day my daughter need to have another CBC test .Though I do not know how to interpret those results; I know I need to keep a copy at hand. Besides, I paid for it so I demanded to have a copy of everything.

 Choose a place where you & your patient will feel comfortable. It is important that you and your patient will feel comfortable. In our case, we only stayed at the pediatric ward. But I know it was a right choice – financially and emotionally speaking. The parents of some of the patients in that ward taught me some lessons. They shared their experiences as a parent and how they handle things when their kids got sick. Having them around actually comforted me and my daughter. And that even made me realized that I am indeed fortunate for having a healthy family.

 Filing a direct claim from philhealth gives you a much bigger claim. On using your Philhealth benefit, you can choose whether you want the hospital to deduct it from your bill or for you to file it directly to the Philhealth office. I learned that you can actually avail a much bigger claim when you do a direct filing rather than allowing the hospital to deduct it from your bill and for them to claim refund from Philhealth. But of course, it takes time before you can claim your money from Philhealth. Usually, it takes 1 ½ to 2 months before they release your check.

MEDICAL SCRUB UNIFORMS

In my more than 3 decades of existence, I never ever dreamt of working in a hospital. And don’t ever dream of being in the medical field. I am afraid seeing fresh blood as well as people who passed away. I was once offered a scholarship to take midwifery but I immediately said NO. Luckily, nobody force me to pursue it. My heart is really not into it but I do admire the courage and the dedication of those persons working in the hospital especially the doctors and the nurses who devoted their life in serving people in need.

Anyway, as much as I hate going to the hospital, there are some circumstances that can’t be avoided. One thing for sure, I am going to face everything and forget all those fears when it concerns with my loveones.

Hospital after all is the place made to house us when we are sick and not made to scare us. In fairness, a lot of hospital staffs are so friendly and very much professional while dealing with their patient. Aside from that, another thing that I observe everytime I am inside the hospital is the nursing uniforms scrub that the nurses are wearing. It is pleasing to the eyes to see them in their scrubs medical uniforms. It even made them look prettier, friendlier, and smarter. It even gave them the image that they are the persons that need to be respected as well as idolized.

Nowadays, a lot of good hospital uniforms with different styles, design and patterns available in scrub store that you can even buy them online. And that’s very cool, right? So, for all the nurses and hospital staff out here, what are you waiting for? Go and search for some new uniforms that will suit your taste.

Last Saturday, I rendered overtime and joined at the HR planning workshop. Though I don’t have an overtime pay, I never had a second thought when our HR head texted me to join – 1) because my schedule was free 2) because I miss the group – sa PAHRDF training kasi namin yon na hindi na natapos-tapos kasi nagpalit kami ng bagong administration and 3) because our trainors/consultants are very kind kaya nakakahiyang magsabi ng “NO”. In fairness, super alaga kasi kami ng aming consultant eh.

Anyway, our consultants treated us lunch at the banana leaf.

Today, I am very grateful because….

… I already got my Philhealth forms and other requirements needed for my reimbursement of expenses from the hospital where KA got confined. After two weeks of waiting, finally my papers are ready to be filed at Philhealth office.

… I already paid the cash I borrowed and used for KA’s hospitalization. OMG, it gave me sleepless nights because I am force to pay it as soon as possible.

… My family & friends are in good health and safe.

… Tomorrow is no work day so I am not obliged to wake up very early. Though, I am still undecided whether I am going to stay home or go malling/window shopping. *wink*

… Today, I am happy, relax, contented and feel so blessed. I am really enjoying a worry-free day today.

a birthday post!

While some people are afraid of the thought of turning a year older, there are some people who are excited to turn a year older and still looking forward to all the blessings waiting them ahead.

I am one of those persons who excitedly looking forward for new things waiting for me as I unfold another chapter of my life.

Looking back, when I am still a little bit younger, I am always awed of those people who became successful as early as 25 years old. And I dreamt of becoming one of them when I reach such certain age.

But where I am today? Today, at 32, I am officially out of the calendar but hey I am still in the lotto. Lol. Seriously, at 32, I am still too far from counting million or even thousands from my own account. Despite all the hard work and determination to succeed, here I am today still breaking my arm and leg to conquer everything in finding something to feed my family.

I haven’t travel to any place outside the country yet but I’ve been to some beautiful places here in the Philippines.

My 31st year was one of the toughest years in my life but I am proud to say that God never abandon me. Despite all the challenges and the not so good things that happened to me, I know I have a lot of things to thank Him. I have my very supportive family, a loving husband, a smart & healthy daughter, a comfortable place to live with and good health. I also have my job that pays me enough to cover my bills and some more to buy things that I want. And I have a lot of friends, including those that I’ve only met online, who are always there to support me through thick & thin.

I know I should already done things more than what I did, traveled more to different places, acquired more than what I just had and be someone more successful than who I am today.

But this is not the end of my journey; I am only just a halfway through. And in due time, I know I am going to get to a place where I should be. Happy Birthday to me!

Five years. Yes, we’ve been married for five years now!

At five years, I learned & fully understand that a husband-wife relationship is very much different from a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

At five years, I already understand why our parents always remind us that before going into this relationship, we must be financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually prepared. In other words, both spouses must already enjoy their singlehood to the fullest.

At five years, we still stick to our agreement not to say too negative things against each other that a simple sorry / hugs and kisses cannot heal. Better yet, manahimik nalang!

At five years, our greatest joy and achievement so far is having our precious daughter.

At five years, despite our personal differences, we are trying everything to become a better couple & parent to our kid.

Dengue fever hits my precious KA!

It is very sad to say that no matter how I tried my best to protect her from getting sick, dengue carrying mosquito was still able to bite her. And I hate you so much mosquito!

KA’s fever started last Thursday evening. Then on Saturday afternoon, I noticed some red dots in her face that made me panic. I immediately brought her to the hospital. Undergo some laboratory test and found out that she was indeed positive for a dengue.

It was her first time to be admitted in the hospital and that made me worried a lot. Aside from the fact that I don’t even have money to pay the hospital bill, I also knew that it will be very difficult and very much painful for all of us especially for my little one.

My heart crushed every time the nurse gets blood from her for some laboratory test. KA got phobia also that every time she saw nurse coming, she immediately asked, “Ano gagawin mo sa akin? Hindi mo ako tutusukin?”

We stayed in the hospital for 3 nights and 2 ½ days (that’s from Saturday night until Tuesday noontime) just to make sure that she will be very much okay.

But I am still so glad that we were able to address the problem before it aggravate to a much serious case. And I am also glad that the staffs of H Ville Hospital in Montalban, Rizal were accommodating and kind. Though there were some problems and instances that were so irritating, I must say that the overall services that they offered were still good. And I thank all those hospital staff who attended to our needs.

Now, I would like to remind you guys to take extra care. Dengue season is here again and that dengue carrying mosquito might just around the corner. Be safe everyone!

I am busy…
Because there are a lot of works in my table that really need to be done.

I am irritated …
Because an officemate with sore eyes is still reporting to work without taking into consideration that she will just spread the virus among her workmates.

I am worried and paranoid…
Because my risk of getting infected with the virus that causes sore eyes is so high and I am more than worried for my daughter since the moment I got infected by it, she and the rest of my housemates will be at risk as well.

I am having a second thought…
Because as much as I don’t want to file a leave, the current situation made me think of filing a leave tomorrow just to get rid of this person having that sore eyes.

Anyway, it’s already Thursday and I can almost smell the long weekend coming.

During my 2 days stay in MLDC last May, I had the chance to see their aviary. Different birds of different colors made me feel happy. It also reminded me of those happy childhood days when seeing different birds flying and hearing them sing different tunes are just an ordinary thing for us in the province.

an eye opener!

Hi guys, I know I owe you some updates and explanation for my absence and for not even visiting your blog for such a long time. A lot of things happened last month and I choose to keep quiet because it might put my position in danger again.

Anyway, the good news is, my contract got renewed and I was retained in my position as well as to the unit/department where I belong. Four among my unit mates were reassigned to other different units/departments here in the office. We also transferred to other floor just within the building.

Everything happened to our office served as an eye opener not only for me but for all of us.

Today, I just want to share to you some of my insights and observations from what happened. I will not elaborate them further because as I told you it might be taken against me.

Never ever feel confident that you will get hired because you are talented enough to do your job. That is not enough. You might pass all the tests and interviews but you still have the chance to get fired for some other reason/s.

Never ever feel that you will get hired because you are working on that office for such number of years. Your loyalty and dedication to work might not save you from getting fired.

Never ever forget to continue to dream. As long as you are still young and capable of looking for a more stable and high paying job, go for it. Do not wait until you get age and that you are over age for any position that you will be applying for. This one really strikes me and made me realized that I need to pursue my studies and go get the license that I need before my daughter starts schooling. I only have two more years to fulfill that and I am praying that my financial conditions permits me to fulfill that dream that I am eyeing for or forget it and regrets about it for the rest of my life.

But above all these, I strongly believe that everything has a purpose and that God really has a good reason for everything. I am indeed happy and grateful enough that I still have my job and that we were transferred to new environment.

Indeed, change is the only permanent thing in this world. So be aware and be ready. God is always there to guide us and bring us to where we should belong.
