gifts from an angel…

Yes! You read it right.

An angel from Iloilo City sent me a wonderful gift surprise. Redlan sent me a package early Monday morning last week. It made me so excited the moment the LBC personnel handed me the package. Precious gifts that I never expected to receive for no special occasion.

They were beautifully wrapped. At first I don’t want to open them and all I want is to display them on my desk. The wrap itself made my heart jumped with so much joy.
And the gifts inside even made me happier of course.

He is a genie that I am looking for and truly an angel sent from above. He granted one of my wishes listed here.
Redlan, you really made me happy. You are so generous. And I know I can’t thank you enough for these gifts, for the friendship and for everything. I am so lucky enough to find a friend like you.

Thank you so much!

letter to K.A.

Dear K.A.,

Two years ago, you were born to saw for the first time the light of the world.

We could hardly believe that our little angel were finally right before our eyes after nine months of waiting. It was so amazing!

You made us the happiest person in this world.

You were so tiny and fragile then. We were even afraid to carry you then.

We couldn’t stop staring at you. You really look so adorable.

We were so amazed at how we have created you such a beautiful baby.

We guarded you zealously.

We could hardly sleep because we wanted to watch over your every move. We wanted to attend to all your needs as soon as possible.

Happiness overwhelmed us every time you opened your eyes and seemed to look at us. Even though we knew you couldn’t see us yet, we wanted you to know and feel that we are always around for you.

We didn’t want to leave you. We were scared to leave you home to your nanny during the times that we need to go to work.

We played with you and sang you songs. And we wished you could talk, walk and play with us.

As you grew older, handling you became more and more challenging for us. And yet we are learning lessons from you.

We wanted to mold you into a best daughter.

Days passed by. And you are growing so fast.

Now you are two years old already. Yet you still amaze us in so many ways.

You can now walk, run, talk and play with us. You even know how to dance, sing and imitate what we are doing or talking. You already know how to make sumbong, answers to our simple questions and count 1 to 10.

You are now more assertive. And seem to know what you want. Yet we know that you are still our pretty little baby.

We are so happy whenever you reach for us, kissed us a lot every time we arrived home and let us carry you as well.

We pray to God that you’ll grow up to be a God-fearing lady. We also pray that you be blessed with good health, sharp mind, loving heart, success and happiness all the days of your life.

And pray that God will grant us more years to come so we can be there for you.

We love you so much K.A. We are so proud of you!

Happy 2nd Birthday to you!

Love and care,
Mama & Papa

Happy April Fools’ Day & others!

Wow, today is already April 1. Ambilis ng panahon!

According to the wikipedia, April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day, although not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies, and neighbors, or sending them on fool's errand, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible. Traditionally, in some countries, the jokes only last until noon: like UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, someone who plays a trick after noon is called an "April Fool". Elsewhere, such as in Ireland, France, and the USA, the jokes last all day.
The origin of April Fools' Day is obscure. One likely theory is that the modern holiday was first celebrated soon after the adoption of the
Gregorian Calendar; the term referred to someone still adhering to the Julian Calendar which it replaced. In many pre-Christian cultures May Day (May 1) was celebrated as the first day of summer, and signalled the start of the spring planting season. An April Fool was someone who did this prematurely. Another origin is that April 1 was counted the first day of the year in France. When King Charles IX changed that to January 1, some people stayed with April 1. Those who did were called "April Fools" and were taunted by their neighbors. In the eighteenth century the festival was often posited as going back to the times of Noah. An English newspaper article published on April 13th, 1789 said that the day had its origins when he sent the raven off too early, before the waters had receded. He did this on the first day of the Hebrew month that corresponds with April. A possible reference to April Fools' Day can be seen in the Canterbury Tales (ca 1400) in the Nun's Priest's tale, a tale of two fools: Chanticleer and the fox, which took place on March 32nd.

With that I just want to greet a Happy April Fools’ Day Everyone!

On the other hand, how I wish its weekend again!

Yes, I know it is only Wednesday today but I am already looking forward for the weekend. I am still coping with the new environment and with my new routine. Our things are still scattered all over our new home. I even don’t know where to start. All our things are still in the box. I also having hard time thinking on where to find things I need even the next clothes to wear. I can’t take leave of absence again from work because I already incurred number of absences for the past few weeks. And I am still reserving some of my leave credits for the upcoming wedding of my younger brother this coming April 28. I’ll just spend the weekend and the holidays next week in sorting and organizing all those things. Wish me luck then. And hope to share some pictures of our new home maybe after holy week.

Another thing that needs of getting used to is waking up at 4 o’clock in the morning to give enough time to prepare and be able to catch up my 8 o’clock time in schedule at work. Medyo may kalayuan na kasi ang aming bagong bahay sa aking trabaho. Lalo na at wala naman din akong service. Good thing that my sister is the one left behind to look after K.A’s needs. So, medyo bawas na yong aking alalahanin sa buhay. Sistah, I owe you a lot. Thank you so much.

Lastly, I have to take over duties and responsibilities of my colleague who is on sick leave for about a week now. Although my boss requested someone to take over her assigned tasks, it seem that this person always out of her place and made me handle everything. *sigh*

And before I continue ranting, I think I better stop here now. Lol.
