vote casted: i'm happy & proud that i did it!

Oh yeah! For the first time in my entire life, I was able to exercise my right to vote.

I left home at 7am and it took me 30 minutes travel time before I reached my precinct. Super layo nya at akala ko walang hanggang paghahanap yon. Nakatatlong tanong ako sa mga tricycle drivers kung saan ang precinct ko, akala ko kasi nawawala na ako. Hehehe

I arrived there at around 7:30am at super dami na ng taong nakapila. Pagkatanaw ko pa lang na sobrang dami na ng tao, considering na ang aga-aga pa, eh parang gusto ko nalang mag back out. But my mind & my heart told me that I really have to do it for the future of my daughter, my family, our country and our future!

I was assigned at cluster 76 with 4 clusters combined. And compared to other clusters na nakakailang ikot na ang pila eh medyo lucky pa rin naman ako. Though I lined up for almost 3 hours din before I was able to cast my vote.

While waiting for my turn, I noted some of my observations especially in my cluster area: 1) hindi maayos ang pila, lahat ng pwede makasingit, sumisingit,*grrr* 2) hindi na maximized ang capacity ng room, meron pang mga vacant seats pero hindi agad nagpapasok ang mga BEI & watchers para punuan 3) ang daming mainit ang ulo 4) hindi agad na pull-out sa regular lines or hindi agad naassist/na prioritize ang mga senior citizens, buntis & disabled persons. But then ng eh pulled-out nila ng sabay-sabay eh biglang naparalyzed ang usad ng regular lines, and lastly 5) maraming nadismaya sa haba ng pila at nagdesisyong umuwi nalang (muntik na akong sumama dito) *toink*.
Anyway, when my turn came, yahoo, sarap ng feeling! I already have the list of names of people to vote so voting came handy for me. Then, the PCOS machine accepted my ballot without a hitch and it felt good when it confirmed my vote. CONGRATULATIONS! Your vote has been registered.

I went home that day, HAPPY & PROUD.

LET'S GO OUT & VOTE!

Today is the big day – Election Day! Today is the most controversial day but also the most important day for all the Filipinos. Coz today, we, Filipinos will be deciding who will lead our country for the next 6 years.

Our mission for today is to think & choose well. It is actually my first time to vote and I am excited about it. Medyo malayo nga lang ang precinct ko, but still I really need to cast my vote. Sa ating mga kamay ngayon nakasalalay ang kinabukasan ng ating mga anak, ng ating pamilya, ng ating bansa - nating lahat!

I hope that amidst all the controversies, confusions and everything, we will still have a clean, honest & credible election. And I am also praying that we may have a peaceful and orderly election.

Now, let’s GO OUT and VOTE PEOPLE!
