a short message

Dear friends,

Sorry for not visiting your site more often this time and i'm sorry for not replying on your comments too. I am no longer busy with my work but I am just feeling so lazy. After all the hardwork, the overtime, the rushing for lots of work before the holidays and of course the christmas party. Now, I am feeling so down. I feel like I lost all my energy. And all I really want this time is to take time for myself and have enough rest so I can fully enjoy the holiday season.

But before I take my vacation, let me share to you my favorite pictures taken during our office Christmas party.

Here I’ll introduce to you my very own little Santa. She is the Santa Claus who doesn’t give gifts on Christmas instead she is the one who ask gift from everyone. Hehehe.

Little Santa with her lovable papa

What are you thankful for this year (2008)?

2008 is about to end and a long holiday vacation here in the Philippines is just few more days to go. But before I take my vacation, let me share to you all the things that I should be thankful for this year.

Though life is a never ending struggle for me, still there are lots of good things that happened to me this year.

Let me summarize them this way:

FAMILY for:
I was able to give my daughter a simple yet memorable first birthday party. Hubby and I were not able to experience such a party for our own birthday. Birthday for me is just an ordinary day.

I have a happy married life. Our relationship as husband and wife are still very much ok. Though, we encountered lots of misunderstanding but that thing is just part of life, just a spice wika nga!

I still have healthy and strong parents. Seeing/knowing that both of them are healthy is a big thing to thank God. Though, they have their own separate lives, I know that both of them are happy for each other chosen kind of life.

I have a very much understanding and very supportive siblings. Everyone is willing to help each other in times of needs. In addition, our younger brother is getting married. So, we are expecting addition member to the family and we are all happy for that.

I have a very good relationship with in-laws. I know that they are just a call away if I need some help.

CAREER/JOB for:
I still have stable job. Despite everything that happened to our office, I am still so lucky that I still have my job.

My job is not so demanding and stressful compared to others.

For I only have to report to work from Monday to Friday at 8:00 o’clock in the morning to 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

It gives me money to support our financial needs.

I have an opportunity to meet new people.

FRIENDS for:
They are always there to support me through thick and thin.

They are always there willing to cheer me up when I am so down and blue.

They accepted me for who am I.

BLOGGING/ONLINE LIFE for:
This is the year that I started to improve and maintain my blog.

It gives me an opportunity to meet new people and make friends.

It makes me think and exercise my brain and my writing skills.

It served as my outlet when I am so stress with my life.

OTHERS for:
I was able to survive all the trials that came into my life.
---------------------------------------------------------

Be thankful for what you have;
you’ll end up having more.
If you concentrate on what you don’t have,
you will never, ever have enough.

Blog love: my four seasons notebook plus goodies in-transit

I know I am not lucky to win in any raffle or contest. But my patience and determination always give me rewards.

When I joined Shai’s 52WoC tasks for partly #7, random org never favored me for the four raffles. But Shai decided to gave special prize for this round of tasks to the contender who completed the tasks. And she declared that I’m the sole contender who completed the tasks. Hooray for me! I do not know if my fellow 52WoCer just gave way for me to have the prize or they are just so busy to complete the tasks. But whatever their reasons, it made me won the special prize alone. So, I would like to say thank you very much guys.

Then, two weeks ago the package from Australia arrived. I was so happy and so excited the moment I got it. I was so eager to see what’s inside but hubby requested if he can just open it for me and see for himself the treasures that I got. So, I let him opened the package. Just like me, he was so happy too.

Here’s what I got, my four seasons notebook:

My favorite is the blue one of course, which is the summer notebook. In this special notebook I will write all the important numbers and information about me and all the people close to my heart. Like for example, their birthdates, our bank accounts details, our GSIS number, SSS, TIN, etc...etc...etc…
Another special notebook, the winter, will hold all the details of the persons I met in the net like their names addresses, birthdates and other related details.
The other two special notebooks, which are the autumn and the spring, will just put on stand-by for a while. I still don’t have any idea on what among the important things in my life to write on them. I will decide later.
And she also added a christmas card.

I so loved them all. And I would like to say a million thanks to Shai Coggins for giving me these special notebooks.

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

On the other hand, last Friday I sent something for my friends. Actually, I was only supposed to send a Christmas card but on the last minute I decided to include a simple token of appreciation for the friendship that they gave to me.

Guys, pardon me for I don’t know what to give. I know that you guys have almost everything in life. Those are not pricey things but I hope that you’ll gonna like them.

Here are the goodies I sent:

Hey, before I forget, one of the recipients doesn’t know that I got her mailing address. I am not a “manghuhula”. I just got your mailing address from one of your posts. I decided not to verify it from you because I want to surprise you. Hope you just don’t mind what I did.

That’s it!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

who was the first person to know your real name?

It was last year when my very dear friend, purple ink, introduced me to blogger. She also taught me how to do it. Thank you very much sis!

During that time, I decided to just use a pen name so that no one except her will know who is behind the love and life blog. I am so ashamed to tell the whole blogosphere my real name. Not because my name is ugly. Actually, I love my name. The real reason why I decided to use pen name is because I just don’t want people special those who knew me personally that I am the one behind my blog. If those people close to me happen to stumble upon my blog and know that it is me behind everything, they might tease me over and over again. And I really hate that. I know I am not good in writing but I am trying my best to write what’s on my mind and what’s in my heart.

But my secret is now no longer a secret. Almost all my unit mates knew that I have my own blog. One of them, actually used to tease me by shouting”blogger, blogger” every time he saw me browsing the net even if I am just checking my e-mail or simply searching for something or anything on the google. But time just passed by. He gave up and he stops teasing me especially when I decided to ignore him. Today, teasing was never heard again.

I also got fun in visiting other blogs. Bloghopping then was part of my daily life. When I got so down and blue, reading other blog made my day and keep me inspired. Until such time that I got the habit of leaving a comment on their blog as my way of appreciation especially when I can so relate to the topic that they are talking about.

Time really flies so fast. I gained friends. And that was a greatest thing on my blogging life that I have to thank the Lord. You guys are really my inspiration and your comments and appreciations about anything I wrote made my day and made me inspired to continue blogging.

Through time, I also discovered that joining the contest or the blogger giveaways are really fun and exciting. Even though I am not lucky in any raffle or contest, the excitement that it gave to me matters most.

When Shai Coggins launched her holiday fun swap, I decided to join. It made me submit my real name and mailing address for the first time to a person I only met online. And at the same time she needed that information for her to send my prize for winning in her contest by completing the 52 WoC task #27-30. See, I think it’s time for you to head over her blog and experience the joy and excitement in joining her community task as well as reading her blog.

Then, as time for the holiday season, sheng over anything goes asked for my mailing address as well as Ms Jo of witsandnuts.

Sooner or later, the whole blogosphere will know my real name.

How about you? Do you use your real name or just a pen name? Why?

tag: 10 random facts about me

I stole this tag from the kilay queen, iluvgreen. I enjoy reading her post so I challenged myself to write mine.

The rules:
1. each blogger must post these rules.
2. each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
3. bloggers that are tagged, need to write ten facts about themselves. You need to choose ten people to tag and list their names.

With no further ado, here are the ten funny, embarrassing, weird and unique facts about me:

1. I never shave/pluck my eyebrows.

4. Kaya ko ang hindi magsalita maghapon. Hehehe. Boring ba?

5. Dati mahimbing akong natutulog kapag walang ilaw, subalit ngayon mas comfortable na akong matulog ng may ilaw kasama ng aking anak at asawa.

6. Nakagisnan ko ang gumising ng 4:00 o’clock in the morning subalit nabago ng konti mula ng ako’y magtrabaho at ito’y naging 5:00 o’clock na ng umaga.

Yes! That’s it.

Now, it’s your turn. Dare to share?

the holiday fun swap

when caryn launched her creative swap project, i was so tempted to join. but sad to say, i am not creative so i decided not to join coz i took pity on whoever will be my assigned partner.

but when shai coggins announced the holiday fun swap, i never had a second thought and i joined. because she said it can be anything. that means i can only just "buy".

after i signed up, i immediately bought my gifts to whoever my assigned secret swap partner.

i decided to gave these:

a rose quartz with 9-eyed DZi bracelet, a parker pen,

notecard with a pin where i can write and say hello to my partner and a smiley pin set

i am also got worried on how much will it cost to send a package internationally. i phoned to a certain courier and he quoted me at P2060. i also phoned to the post office near the office and the lady who answered the phone quoted me at less than P1000 for the international express mail service. yeheeey... the post office is the solution!

then, the moment i got an email from shai informing me on who will be my secret swap partner, i immediately prepared everything and run in a hurry to the post office. wishing that my partner gonna love everything that i picked.

yesterday, i received an e-mail from my swap partner and she said she got my gifts to her and that she loves them all.

thank you so much to you dear for appreciating all the goodies that i sent to you.

merry christmas!

tag: 6 things that make me happy

Jeanny over starting a new life too tagged me with this. Thanks for the tag sis.

Here’s my answer:

my adorable daughter. Do I still need to explain further? Isn’t it obvious that she is the primary source of my happiness? She is my life and my inspiration to live and have a better life.

my husband. He is a very kind and very understanding person. I know he loves and cares for me so much. He is always there besides me all the time even during the times that I have tantrums. I am just so lucky to have him as my husband.

my family. Though I came from a broken family, I can say that I am still happy and lucky enough to have them. They are very supportive in all the decision that I made in life. They never force me to do anything instead they gave me freedom to live the life that I want to have. And I know that they are all proud of me.

my friends. who are always there when I need someone to cry on and always willing to be with me through thick and thin.

your comments. Reading your comments in my post make me happy. Knowing that there are people who spend some of their quality time reading my post and let me know what they think about it inspired me a lot.

freebies. Who will not be happy receiving free items/goodies? Anything free makes me happy. No matter how small or big it is.

YES! I’m done.

There are other things that still make me happy but since the tag only asked me to list down six, I think I better stop here. LOL

I am not tagging anyone but if you want to do it, please let me know. I am happy to read your answer.

a new twilight reader here

{image credit}
Twilight had been the most popular topic over the blogosphere these days.

I am really intrigued. What does these people are talking about? I can’t relate. I haven’t read any book of the twilight series and I never have a copy at hand.

So last week, I searched for an e-book of this twilight series. Thanks God, somebody shared them for free. Thank you so much! Sorry, I already forgot the link but I left an anonymous comment on his site before I closed it.

Now, I challenge myself to finish reading them at least one e-book before the year end.

Good luck to me.

thank you very much!

... redlan for this very beautiful art work.

Thank you too for featuring me in your blog.

I am so flattered and very happy that you considered me as one of your friends.

I also thank the Lord for giving me the direction on how I got there in your site.

God really knows that you are indeed a very nice person.

You have a very kind soul. A very talented person. A friend for keeps. An inspiration. You really made other people feel happy.

As I recall, it was early September of this year when I first stumbled upon your blog and read about your “pictorial session” post. It was a time also that I got an interest and the courage to leave my first ever comment on your post. From then, I started visiting your blog everytime I’m online but I never leave a comment again until such time that I joined the smart prepaid card guessing game and won.

Again, thank you very much.

This one really made my day.

happy monday everyone!

what do i love about blogs?

Blogging is so addictive. It is also therapeutic. It is an outlet where we can put all our ideas, rants, opinions, feelings and everything that we need to write. It is also a venue to gain new friends.

But what do I love about blogs? What makes me add them at my blogroll? What makes me come back more often?

Find it here, in no particular order:

I love blogs that have good & quality posts. My primary reason why I decided to blog is to practice and improve my writing skills. Reading quality writings from others really help me a lot. It also made me think of any good topic to write about and share over the blogosphere.

I love blogs that inspire. When I am so down and blue, reading blogs that focuses on the positive side of life inspires me to go on with my life. It made me realized that I also have so many things to thank for. I love blogs that inspire me to explore or try new things. Or blogs that make me want to be better me.

I love blogs when I can relate to their post. It is like I feel so homey. It is something that made me ask myself, “Am I the one talking?”

I love blogs that are so friendly in nature as well as friendly bloggers. Friendly blogs and bloggers seem to attract more readers, right? Making friends with my fellow bloggers is my greatest achievement in my blogging life.

I love blogs that have great photography. I love visiting blogs that have pictures. Picture speaks a thousand words. It also made me see the wonders and beauty of the world. And it made me travel virtually to different places.

I love blogs that are informative. Blogs that give tips and advises catch my attention. I love being introduced to new ideas. I love to find things that are applicable to my own life. And I really love to learn more in life.

I love funny blogs and funny bloggers. I love to laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. Blogs with good sense of humor really rock! Good read when all things around me seem to be so serious.

And I love the blogging community as a whole. It is really great.

Now, I give you the time to share what do you love about blogs? I am so happy to hear it from you.

the weekend trips

saturday: the divisoria trip

originally, hubby and i planned to leave the house early at 6:00 o'clock in the morning to avoid traffic and lots of people there in divisoria. but since it was weekend, laziness striked us and we woke up late. we were able to leave the house at around 7:30 am.

when we were there, we found out that the place was no longer flooded with people unlike before. maybe because people are still do not have the money for their christmas shopping since bonuses are not yet release.

we also discovered that the prices there is almost the same or with only small difference with the prices at the mall. so we just bought stuff for the baby and for us too. and we will buy other things after the release of our bonus.

saturday, was a sunny day. it was so hot. so hubby, decided that we better got home before noon time and before the migraine strikes me.

sunday: the tripping day

we were so lucky because the developer & our agent provided us free ride to and from the vicinity.
they fetched us at around 9:00 o'clock in the morning near our residence. and after around 45 minutes we were able to reached our destination.
but when we arrived there, we were not allowed to enter to the place where our soon to be new home is located because the constructions are still on-going.

but they assured us that our unit was already finished. that row of houses from far far away is a proof. one among those build houses is soon to be ours.

here's another look, taken from the clubhouse overlooking area.

and this will be our neighbors. our unit is situated at phase 1 and the picture below is on phase 2. houses there are already occupied.

since we were not able to go inside our house, let's take a look at their model unit - the bianca house.

here is the front view. the man standing at the front door was one of the prospect buyers. and he doesn't know that this picture will be uploaded to the internet. harharhar

this one is the view from the back. and hey, why this man suddenly appeared when i clicked the camera.

before we enter the house, let's take a look at the floor plan. it looks like this.

{photo from here}

now let's go inside. let us take a look on how our bare house will look like when they will turn over it to us. our kitchen will look like this.

the look of our toilet and bath. that was locked so i was not able to take a picture inside.

another shot for the kitchen and the toilet and bath area. urghh... she suddenly passed by.

this one will be part of the room. actually, this area just have the provission for two bedrooms.

part of the roof.
and this will be our clubhouse. the place where we can have our gatherings. and probably K.A.'s next birthday party will be held on this place.

of course at the clubhouse we will have the kiddie pool.

and the pool for the adults.

and this is the selling area. the people at the picture are actually the prospect buyers and their agents. this was taken after we feasted on our free lunch. yes! the developer provides food to their clients and agents.
sorry guys, i am not good in narrating stories. but i hope that you are able to get what i am trying to say.

more pictures, when we already move to that place. as of this time, we are still waiting for my loan to be take-out from pag-ibig funds. and i am expecting it to happen on the first week or maybe on the second week of december so we can move in early next year.

11.14.2008

happy weekend

i can now feel the spirit of christmas.

this morning, this christmas tree greeted me as i enter the office.

uhmmm ... happy! but of course i will be happier if they will give us our bonus. hehehe.

***

anyway, tomorrow is weekend again. hubby and i are planning to go to divisoria and buy something to wrap for the christmas season.

on sunday, we are planning to go tripping and see our soon to be new home. i will share to you some pics next week.

***

what are your plans this weekend? hope you enjoy yours as i enjoy mine.

happy weekend everyone!

an experience at the not so "great eastern hotel"

last sunday, while most of the people enjoyed their family day, i assisted at the training conducted by our office. that pilot training lasted until tuesday afternoon. the venue - the not so "great eastern hotel". why i said so? just because they really have poor service.
the hotel served our food late.

their service was so slow. one time, we had fried chicken for our dinner. they did not served us sauce or even ketchup. so what i did, i requested from the waiter, but before the ketchup arrived the fried chicken were gone. hahaha...

next day, i requested my running balance so i just know how much money i need to request from the office. i do not want to bring bulk of money there and i only want to request enough cash for our additional charges. anyway, i paid them in full the contracted price for the minimum guaranteed participants that we agreed upon. but hey, they was not able to give to me the information that i needed. the person in-charge told me to go back the next day at 8:00 o'clock in the morning. as obedient as i can, i go back the following day. but still, i got nothing. later that day, i asked the same information from the personnel in-charge in our room, to their supervisor and even to the sales manager but to no avail. i was so mad at that time.

while i was trying to comfort myself, i took this picture. i said to myself, maybe that car beside that tree was feeling lonely or maybe feeling so mad too. lol. what do you think?

later in the afternoon, when our event were done and the feeling of madness was gone too, i go back to the front desk and asked this time for our final bill. know what? they still do not have the information/bill yet. how unefficient they are? this time, i told them, ok fine if you were not able to provide me the information on how much i owe you. i'll gonna go home. just call me if you are ready! you guys know my office number anyway. then suddenly, they rushed my bills.

oh, come on! will you please improve your service.

for a change

Sorry for my absence.

Just like you, I am still so busy right now. Actually, I can’t figure out yet where to start. I have lots of deadlines.

For a change, let us try to do this:

Try to make at least one person happy every day. If you cannot do a kind deed, speak a kind word. If you cannot speak a kind word, think a kind thought. Count up, if you can, the treasure of happiness that you would dispense in a week, in a year, in a lifetime!
--Lawrence G. Lovasik--

My first target is to make my baby happy everyday because every time I saw her happy I felt so happy too.

Simple things made her happy anyway.

Look at her – she was so happy!

my goals for CY 2009

{ photo credit}

We now only have 55 more days to go for calendar year 2008. How time flies?

I think it is now time to set my goals and aspirations for the coming year. Am I too early for that? Well, we all know that we can set our goals anytime of the year. There is no late or too early for that. Today is the right time to start everything.

What do I want to achieve next year?

Here are my goals and aspirations so far:

First, I want to enroll for a refresher course this coming June 2009. Review class will no longer work for me this time because it’s been 8 years since I graduated from college and I know that there are lots of new accounting guidelines released. I want to take the board examination and have my professional license. I know it is my fault. Procrastination… procrastination… procrastination. My willingness to work and help my family overpowered my willingness to take a review class and have my license.

Just a little flashback, when I was still single, I told myself I need to be a CPA before I turned 30 years old. But I got married at the age of 27, so there are changes in my plans. This time I have a husband to consult about it. When he finally gave me the permission to go back to school, I got pregnant. Again, that affects my decision to pursue my plan. So I just told myself, I’ll go for it when my time permits me to do so. And next year, I think is the right time to start pursuing my dream.

Second, I want to develop better time management. Married life is really not easy. I really have to manage my time. I now have a husband and a daughter who need my love and care. I have a home to clean. Work to do. I also have to take time for myself and enjoy. And I need time to prepare myself for my next career steps.

Third, I’ll start improving our first own home. Our loaned house still needs some improvements.

Fourth, I want to have a car. Hubby and I are planning to buy our own car. Traveling by land to the province via public utility bus for more than twelve hours is very much difficult this time. We now have our daughter to be with us on our travel and I don’t want her to suffer the discomfort of traveling by bus.

Last but not the least; I want to improve my blog. I want to have a blog post daily. With that, I can practice more my writing skills.

So far, those are my plans for next year. I hope and I pray that I will be able to achieve them.

My understanding and lovable husband, my adorable daughter, my supportive parents & siblings, my trusted & loyal friends, and my fantastic blogger friends are my inspiration in achieving my goals.

How about you? What do you want to achieve next year?

seven dont's after a meal

While my mind is still pre-occupied with lot of things to do, let me share to you these important reminders that were emailed to me.

Here they are the seven don’t’s after a meal:

♥Do not smoke after a meal!
Experiments from experts prove that smoking a cigarette after a meal is comparable to smoking TEN cigarettes. (Chances of cancer are higher.)

♥Do not eat fruits immediately after meals.
It will bloat your stomach. Therefore, have your fruits one or two hours before or after your meal.

♥Do not drink tea after a meal as tea leaves contain a high content of acid.
This substance will cause the protein content in the food we consume to be hardened; making it difficult to digest.

♥Do not loosen your belt after eating.
Loosening the belt after a meal can cause intestinal problems.

♥Do not bathe after eating.
Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs and body thereby causing the amount of blood around the stomach to decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

♥Do not walk after a meal even though you have heard people say that after a meal, walking a hundred steps will make you live till 99.
Walking immediately after a meal will make it difficult for the digestive system to absorb the nutrition from the food we eat. Wait at least an hour after your meal and then walk if you want to.

♥Do not sleep immediately.
The intake of food will not be able to digest properly thereby leading to gastro-intestinal problems.

Have a nice day everyone!

thanks God it's friday!

Happy! Everybody should be happy! (Dancing…dancing…dancing)

I have an additional half day for this weekend because I only have to report to work this morning. Our office declared Friday afternoon as special holiday. Thanks boss!

But what are my plans for the weekend? It will be an ordinary weekend for me actually. I will only stay at home with my husband and our baby. Do the usual routine – general cleaning, laundry and bonding time.

Somebody asked me few days ago, “are you going home to the province?” I said, “NO. Hayaan ko nalang muna na sila (yong mga kaluluwa ng aking yumaong mga mahal sa buhay) ang dumalaw sa amin.”NGEK! I am just kidding. I’m afraid with the ghost. Promise!

Going home to the province is not on our list this time. It is much harder this time to travel by land for more than twelve (12) hours because we now have our baby and we still don’t have our own car. And another thing is, we really have to tighten our budget.

You guys, what are your plans for this weekend? Are you going to visit your loveones in the cemetery? Good for you. Always take an extra care though.

Have a happy and safe weekend to all!

random thoughts

♠♣♠

Yesterday was so busy day. I got met some deadlines. I got finalized some schedules/arrangements for the upcoming activities.

At the end of the day, I suffered from mild migraine. I just got lucky that water therapy helped to ease the pain.

♠♣♠

I have to come up with some good article/write-up. Few days ago, I signed up for a writing exercise. I still have enough time though to think and write about it. But hey, I got no inspirations and motivation to finish or even start writing about the topic. I am afraid I was not able to meet my deadline.

I really need some motivations and inspirations to be able to come up with some good writing here. I need some help or some quiet moments alone so that only happy thoughts will come out from this "antique" brain of mine. LOL.

♠♣♠

I have to ask forgiveness for my shortcomings and for any unnecessary acts that I have done from some other people out there:

♣ To the hotel personnel, who is in-charge in banquet sales and marketing. For I had asked a lot of quotations from them yet I was not able to close a deal. Guys, I do not have the power to decide. I can only recommend but my boss is the approving officer. So, please bear with me. I hope that you will not put my name in a blacklist. And you still give me another chance next time.

♣ To the person in-charge in arranging foreign travel from a certain government agency. For I call on you so often. I know I got so “makulit” but please bear with me. I really have to follow my boss instructions/command.

♣ To my co-worker, who always or observe me so often that I was just quiet in my little own corner. Guys do respect me please. When you see me been so quiet here, probably I am not feeling well or just simple I am feeling so mad that I decided to remain quiet so that I can’t hurt anyone further.

♣ To some other persons that you think I owe you some apology. Guys, I am sorry and please forgive me.

I know, I am not perfect but I am trying my best to be nice to all of you.

♠♣♠

On the other hand, there are people that also ruin my day.

♣ People who think they are really superior.
♣ People who don’t mind even they already hurt other people.
♣ People who deserve to be ignore.
♣ People who belittle other people.
♣ People who laugh at other people’s fault.
♣ People who just work so slow.
♣ People who keep on asking same question everyday.
♣ People who keep an eye to their wife instead of doing their duty/job.
♣ People who can’t decide or work on their own
♣ People who flirt to a married people.
♣ People who always complain.
♣ And many others.

You guys, GO! But please don’t multiply. Harharhar.

♠♣♠

In the end, I know I still have to thank GOD for all the good things that He showered upon me.
♣ For my life.
♣ For the loving and caring family.
♣ For the patience.
♣ For the strength.
♣ For all my friends who always show some love and care to me.
♣ For the blogging friends who keep on giving me hope and inspiration.
♣ And for more other blessings to come.

Lord, I LOVE YOU!

the Avalon.ph and Wifely Steps Moleskine Giveaway

{photo via}
I love collecting notebooks. And my ultimate dream is to have my very own moleskine notebook.

Today, Toni of wifelysteps just teamed up with Avalon.ph for a moleskine giveaway.

I want to join the contest and try my luck. Who knows, it may be my chance to have my very own moleskine.

For the mechanics, Toni just asked this question:

What would you write in your moleskine?

If given the chance to own a moleskine notebook, I would write my thoughts on it-- my thoughts about life, my thoughts about love, my thoughts about the people and things around me. I would write all my ideas. I would write about my finances – the in and out of my earned money. I would write some poems on it. I would write about things that I don’t want other people to read. I would write about my feelings – happiness, anger, hate, frustrations, tears, and pain.

I would love to write on it anything and everything under the sun.

So, wish me luck guys!

I am the lucky one!

Last October 12, redlan over the redlan’s web of arts held a contest. He had three smart prepaid buddy cards on hand. And he decided to gave up angel locsin coz he loves piolo pascual more as he said. So what he did was, he let the readers guessed the last digit on card’s pin number.

I love joining the contest. Though I am no longer a smart user now, still I tried and guessed the numbers. . And I am so lucky because I was able to guess that last two digits which is 37.

Yepeeeyyyyyy…. For the first time ever in my blogging life history, I WON! I am so happy here.

But who was the end user of that smart load? Actually, I gave it to my older brother and he was so happy.

Redlan made me happy and I made my brother happy too.

Thank you so much redlan. Mabuhay ka!

Passage Genesis 9:12-16:

12And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

God never promised
A life without pain,
Laughter without tears
Or sun without rain.

But He did promise
Strength for the day,
Comfort for the tears
And light for the way,
And for all who believe
In His Heaven above
He rewards their faith
In His everlasting love.

life is a constant change.
but never give up.
that is life.

happy weekend everyone!

ohhh, where am i?

Hey, guys. I am still here.

I am just hanging around here trying to pamper myself with that orange.

I just got no time and inspiration to update my blog for these past few days. But I still do blog hopping whenever I can.

Last month and this month was not so favorable with me and my family-- health wise.

Flu hit all of us in the house.

The most difficult time for me was when my baby was not feeling well.

I got sleepless nights because I need to attend to K.A.’s needs. Her fever was on and off for almost two weeks. Though her pediatrician prescribed her the proper medicines, letting her take them was another problem.

I was also not able to report to work regularly.

So, I got tons of pending work at my desk.

I tried my best to handle things one at a time.

At the moment, everything seems to be sailing smoothly.

Thank you very much for taking your time to read and write some comments on my post.

I do read them and really appreciate them.

You guys really made my day.

I hope to be back with another post soon.

quick note!

Hi guys!
How’s your day? Hope you guys are doing pretty well.

By the way, K.A. called me “aw-aw” the first time she saw me hanging at blue rose bag. Though I know that I am not a doggie or do not look like one too, I thought my name is “aw-aw”.

Blue rose asked me to take over her blog just for today because she is still busy and not feeling well too. She really needs to rush things because she needs to go home early. Baby K.A. still have a fever.

So, guys have a happy weekend.

Love,

aw-aw

finally!!

Yes, finally! I am worry free! Thanks God.

I was so worried for the past few days. For K.A’s nanny got sick. Her cough and fever last for more than two weeks. On our first doctor’s visit she was given antibiotics but her cough doesn’t disappear so I brought her for the second time to have chest x-ray. I feel so relieved when the result came out and that everything seems to be ok. Laking luwag sa pakiramdam. I am so worried because resposibilidad ko sya sa magulang nya at isa pa baka mahawaan pa nya si baby.

Another thing was, my mother-in-law’s younger brother passed away last Saturday. Hubby and I were so afraid to say the bad news to her because she might collapse just like her siblings in the province upon hearing such news. So we decided to wait for my brother-in-law to come here in Manila and relay the news to my MIL. As of the moment, nasa Palawan na si hubby and BIL para makiramay at makipaglibing. Pero hindi nakasama si MIL dahil hindi na daw nya kaya bumyahe via plane.

On a happy side… hubby surprised me with this:

and this one for K.A.:

Having no special occasion or what, I asked him, “hubby what’s this for?” And he replied, “wala lang! I just want to give it to you because I love you.” Sweet ni hubby noh! Thank you so much bhe. I love you too.
